April hops over another basket of doll news. This week, it’s raining heads (and, of course, photosets) as at least 10 brands had new heads. This includes Real Lady, Gynoid, Doll Senior, and many more. But did any of them hit the mark? Keep reading to find out! Also, I crammed in as much as possible – because in 3 days, the 2026 Shanghai API Expo (April 17-19) begins. Some brands will be busy with that, so next week could be very quiet. Enjoy the news while it lasts.

SEDOLL

Starting with SEDOLL, their “Aya Series” Hinata is out of the office and showing a more homely side of her.

Elsa Babe

After a month break, Elsa Babe’s back to dropping new heads every week. On their taller 163cm body, comes Tsukimi Kohaku with a pleasant anime face that isn’t too unique nor exaggerated in any way. Keeping things simple but effective.

Irontech Doll

Irontech returned with more photosets again, starting with the 165cm Kitty (S32, ROS Max). Looking pretty cute here, the white outfit contrasts well with her Dark Tanned skin.

They also shared new photos of their 153cm Lina (A3), in a combination that I always found weird. For some reason, they like pairing cute faces with overly-thick bodies in their Oriental Series.

Real Lady

Next, Real Lady released a new head called Sienna (R15). Another realistic head from them, she has an interesting, exotic or mixed look that’s pretty unique.

Gynoid

Unexpectedly, Gynoid released a brand-new Asian head called April – with still no Model 24 body in sight. However, it’s impossible to unsee Irontech/Real Lady’s makeup artist. If I didn’t know the brand, I would’ve guessed this was a new Irontech Oriental Series doll (at double the price). The body looks good though, but the makeup is a bit overpowering, especially the lower eyelids. It just doesn’t look like Gynoid anymore.

They also have another version of her with slightly softer makeup, but she still doesn’t resemble Gynoid’s usual style. She has an odd, dollish look like someone’s face under bad lighting. However, the last few photos look more like Gynoid with their more-familiar muted colors.

Doll Senior

As previously teased, Doll Senior released the 2nd head in their 12-head Zodiac Series: Capricorn. Unlike Aries the bright elf, Capricorn takes on a darker, more sinister turn. I think she looks pretty good, though the blue background is a bit plain (so she doesn’t stand out as much as Aries). The nude photos look really nice though, but limited.

They also teased a new 185cm male body (with Real Skin Texture) and Bai Jin head. Not sure if it’s their first-ever male doll, but it might be the first-ever male doll with RST. He looks a bit like Leon from Resident Evil, but a “K-Pop” version.

Lusandy

Lusandy released a new head called Foxy as they showed off their dark skin tone. For what they were going for, she looks pretty good, giving “Chocolate Lady” a run for their money. Another contender in the growing black niche.

MMX Doll

MMX Doll released a new head called MengCi. As expected, she’s quite the beauty with a fierce, model-like expression. It took a while for this head to grow on me though. At first, I thought she looked angry, but it’s more like mischievous.

Fanreal

Again, Fanreal returned with a bunch of new photosets featuring their 158B (RST) body. I’ll go through them quickly.

Zelex

Zelex has another SLE 3.0 photoset, with their classic Head ZXE201 this time. In addition, they announced that SLE dolls can be customized and made-on-order now. Previously, they were only in-stock as a way of reducing costs, so of course, the customizable version is noticeably more expensive (but lets you choose head & body, skin tone, eye color, etc). Inspiration Series heads can also be paired with SLE bodies and torsos now.

Funwest Doll

Funwest Doll finally released 3 photosets that they’ve been teasing for a while now. I believe they’re all cosplayed as Nikke characters on the 157G body (RST). They went with the magazine-style, plain white background for all of them, which is a bit simple, but at least they didn’t skimp out on the posing. The first one is Lucy cosplayed as Nikke’s Rapi.

Next, Lily cosplays as Nikke’s Alice (in her Wonderland Bunny suit).

And last, Alice cosplays as Nikke’s Privaty (Unkind Maid). This is probably my favorite of the three.

XT Doll

XT Doll released a new head called Kaena, as they move on from their Fantasy Girlfriend series. Not sure how I feel about this one. I think she’s a bit cutesy – like their first designs – which doesn’t show much improvement, but some people might like it.

They also revived one of their first heads, Cynthia. This is probably the best she’s ever looked.

MD Doll

Here’s a teaser of MD Doll’s next head. She’s cosplayed as Exusiai from Arknights, and the cosplay makes all the difference (giving her video game vibes). According to the photographer, these are raw photos with “no retouch or photoshop.”

Jiusheng

After much silence, Jiusheng has a new head called Rina. Or maybe this came out last month and I never noticed it. Either way, I was going to cut this out, but the vagina photo is too good.

Firefly Doll

Firefly Doll shared new photos of their 160cm MAX Qiandao, who’s 5 months early for autumn. Her first time in white hair, she looks really different – more mature and old-fashioned – but maintains her cute smile. Hopefully, you don’t throw your doll in the bin like this.

Shedoll

Shedoll shared some beautiful photos, likely from ArtemisH (who’s a really good photographer). Starting with the 167cm Chu Lin with Real Skin Texture. I think the RST might be new for this body and looks detailed as expected.

They also shared new photos of their 163cm Chuyue. This one doesn’t have RST, but she looks super pretty here.

AJLDOLL

I thought about whether to throw this in or not. Last week, AJLDOLL released a new head called JiaYi (or Jiatian) that I had mixed feelings about. The photographer showed these unedited, behind-the-scenes photos that I actually like more than the promos. Some shots also show the jaw pushed up for a much different and cuter look.

Yue Doll

Yue Doll released a new AIO 150cm Loris in a black and white theme. From goth girl to wedding, she as a cutesy face and petite body at 26.5 kg (58.4 lbs).

They also decided to innovate and improve their hands and skeleton. This includes 4 upgrades:

1. Anti-puncture fingers: They reinforced the fingers/tips to prevent the hand skeleton from poking through.
2. “Bionic skeleton system”: The hand isn’t just purely silicone now. They added “layered muscles” and some kind of bone structure inside to feel more like a real hand.
3. No more “energy ring”: Basically, the wrist area looks and feels more seamless in the transition area.
4. Elbow improvement: They strengthened the joint structure for greater support, less deformation, and reduced wear.

Bezlya

Supposedly 3 years in the making, Bezlya teased a new Bionic 2.2 MAX body series. According to them, they combined the extreme softness (of 2.2CF) with realism (of 2.2U) to create 2.2 MAX – so people don’t have to choose between the two. They claim it has the exact same softness and realism of the two (rather than somewhere in between). It debuts with a Stellar Blade Eve cosplay (which seems really popular among brands lately).

They also have a new photoset of their Sakurai Ningning, who has a realistic cosplayer look here.

And, an interesting “gamer girl” photoset, also in cosplayer territory, but I don’t know which head or body this is.

YF Doll

Speaking of cosplay, YF Doll released one of Star Guardian Kaisa (from League of Legends). There are photos with and without the special effects, and since no one will probably order from them, I’ll show the ones with effects.

Strawberry Garden

Strawberry Garden shared some photos, starting with the silicone 159cm Wanying. Probably their favorite head, she’s very recognizable by now.

They also shared these photos of the silicone 159cm Mengnai. Another cute doll that would’ve been perfect for Easter.

EXDOLL

After what feels like 1 year since their robot was “coming soon,” EXDOLL finally shared a video of it which was super disappointing. I assume this is some kind of moaning motion, but they just posted it with no context.

SunDoll

Last but not least, I stumbled upon a new brand called SunDoll (only in China for now). I’ll just show one doll I liked, which looks kind of familiar. 30 kg (66 lbs) for the body seems fairly standard, but no other info on them so far.

Conclusion

That wraps up a photo-filled and head-filled week of news. Despite the endless new heads, it felt like more of the same overall. I’m still conflicted on Gynoid’s new makeup, which looks too much like Irontech and Real Lady’s style. I still think that was a bad decision from them.. Otherwise, it was nice to see some new upgrades or innovations like Bezlya’s 2.2 MAX and Yue Doll’s hand improvements. Hopefully, there’ll be more innovations and upgrades soon. Meanwhile, lots of new heads but none really stood out to me. Well, up next is the 2026 Shanghai API Expo, which could have some new stuff – though it’s not as popular as the one in Guangzhou. At least Real Lady and Sigafun will be there. I guess we’ll see if anything interesting happens at the expo, and what that means for next week’s news. Until next time!
