The average month of August started slow, hit a climax last week, and still tried to finish strong. Through the endless photosets, there were some undoubtable goodies mixed in. This includes new heads from Lusandy and Jiusheng, and new bodies from Ido Doll and Yue Doll. Also, a new brand called AirisLove recently joined TDF so let’s see what they’re about. Can August still finish strong? Only one way to find out.
WM Doll
Starting with WM Doll, they’re still focused on reviving their TPE dolls with another beach babe and classic combo.

It was also nostalgic seeing the TPE 173H + Head #159 again. Seven years ago, people would have went crazy for this, but how does she hold up today?

SEDOLL
Beginning with MMX last week, there seems to be a closed-eyed trend lately. This week, it’s SE Doll’s Jenny’s turn to sleep and enjoy herself.

They also released a “Loose Joint System” for those who prefer loose joints. This allows for easier joint movement, but loses the ability to sit (unsupported), stand, or hold poses.
Elsa Babe
Elsa Babe released a new head called Lily Young. Back to their semi-realistic style, she looks quite pretty, and a nice change of pace from the anime heads.

Irontech Doll
Irontech always has photosets, but they were more interesting this time – like Vanessa (B2), who returned with a distinct look. She looks almost anime in the smooth and blushy makeup. While not hyper-realistic, there’s something charming about this artistic style.

Meanwhile, it was a different tone for their Oriental Series’ Yui (A5). This photographer usually works with XT, which gives a new vibe for Irontech. Unlike the blushy makeup above, Yui has a much cleaner and natural look, for a less supermodel-like face. A huge difference from her previous photosets.

Real Lady
Meanwhile, Real Lady revisited one of their first heads: Adela (R1). Nice styling and photography, she welcomes you to the love doll hotel.

Sino Doll
Sino Doll shared more photos of their 6th Anniversary release (the T149 body + 3 new heads). This time, the photos were taken by aotan, who I believe also designed these 3 heads. Very classy, Japanese-inspired photos from him as always.

Lusandy
Lusandy returned with a new head called Nadia on their thick 159G body. Everything comes together perfectly from the wig and lingerie to her doe eyes that invites you in. I think she’s pretty cute and almost Disney-like.

IDO Doll
Next, IDO Doll released a new silicone 153C body and head called Sara. Their shortest body thus far at 26 kg (57 lbs), they went from muscular to petite – while still maintaining some athleticness. As for the new head, I’m normally a fan of smiling heads, but this one will take time to get used to.

There’s also a version with White skin tone for a slightly different vibe. I think the reason she looks weird is because the mature-ish face doesn’t quite match the petite body.

Jiusheng
Still super active, Jiusheng kept the goodies coming. First, they released a new head called Moya – which I saw back in May – but apparently, she’s just out now. Her sleepy eyes are somewhat unique, but it’s the body that stands out. With weight reduction, the body weighs 27 kg (59.5 lbs).

Next, they released a new T5 torso based on the 162cm body. They’ve been showing the 162cm body more lately, and now, you can get a lighter torso version at 22 kg (48.5 kg without the head).

Last, their recent 125 BBW body has a new head called Sana. Another cutesy head that contrasts the incredibly thick body. With weight reduction, the short height keeps it at 25 kg (55 lbs). Her face is very borderline, so I’ll use spoilers, but AI seems to think she’s in her 20’s.
Yue Doll
Yue Doll released a new 162cm body, paired with their sleeping Hannah head (detachable). A pretty standard build but still looks nice at 33 kg (73 lbs) with weight reduction.

Doll Senior
Doll Senior’s 165F Aoi returned in beautiful new photos. With a green snake theme, these photos are very nostalgic from their old photographer (before the Zodiac Series).

Firefly Doll
Speaking of different photographers, Firefly Doll’s 164cm MAX Qiandao has a new look as photographers shift around. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan – I think the glasses make her look young and old at the same time – but it’s certainly different.

Starpery
Starpery returned with two photosets of some classic combos, which I’ll quickly show.

Kulovedoll
After disappearing for a while, Kulovedoll returned with a new 150D body. Their shortest so far, it’s also their lightest at 24 kg (53 lbs) without the head. I think the head is also new, but it isn’t my favorite from them.

They also shared new photos of their Lyra, this time on the 170G body with Tan skin. Surprisingly, it’s their first photos ever with Tan skin, and it looks good.

Kiradols
Kiradols had these photos which I wasn’t sure whether to share or not. It doesn’t show much; just one pose. I think they just wanted to show off this helmet and wig (no clue if you can order the helmet or not).

BC Doll
Meanwhile, BC Doll saw furries trending and wanted in on the action. They teased probably the most anime-looking furry head so far (is this based on a character?). I’m guessing it’ll probably be more of an animal than a humanoid, so it’ll depend whether I show it or not in the future.

Aotume
Aotume released a new Head #138. This one’s a bit more stylized than to their usual heads, with eyes that remind me of Elsa Babe or Iroke.

AirisLove
Last but not least, a new brand called AirisLove just joined The Doll Forum (TDF) so let’s take a quick look. Based on their website, they appear related to Normon Doll (and Felexia Doll). They’re a new silicone doll brand with some attractive Western and Asian heads, though nothing too unique or innovative. Some of their bodies might be from Felexia or Normon Doll – at least, I recognize the 163cm body.

Conclusion
That wraps up the end of Average August – which like last week – managed to pick up toward the end. Sino Doll’s latest photos from aotan may have stole the show in pure photography, but Lusandy and Ido Doll had nice new designs. Otherwise, it was mostly more of the same despite a wide variety of styles. I quite liked Irontech’s latest depiction of Vanessa, though some people didn’t. More brands like BC Doll want in on the furry action, and new brands keep launching. I like some of AirisLove’s heads, but did they do enough to stand out? And will the doll industry finally pick up steam now that August is over? Stay tuned!
