Unexpectedly on April 1 (but definitely not April Fool’s), Game Lady released a new Head #37, inspired by Lili from Tekken. This came at a complete surprise with no teasers as they debuted their first Tekken character. At first glance, I thought she looked a bit like Tifa (Game Lady’s darling), but upon further inspection, she looks almost exactly like Lili. In fact, the resemblance is almost uncanny – possibly one of their most accurate depictions thus far. Considering Tekken characters fit Game Lady’s aesthetics almost perfectly, does that mean more Tekken characters in the future? As for the photos, they used their existing 171cm body, and combined with the costume, it’s a pretty faithful recreation.

Conclusion

In a 2-for-1 week, Game Lady’s Lili looks like a winner for them. While this may not be the most popular character (no votes in their 2023 contest), I think they’re on the right track. They found a series that fits their aesthetics almost perfectly, which opens up many possibilities. Do you think they nailed Lili or was she too plain of a choice?
