May has come to an end with a final bit of news. This was a fairly typical week with many photosets, some new releases, and teasers. However, two unexpected brands emerged with some surprising developments that may change the industry forever. Before we get there, let’s appreciate some pretty photosets along the way. As they say, it’s not about the destination, but the journey. Without further ado, here are May’s final highlights.
WM Doll
WM Doll shared 2 new photosets with some classic TPE bodies. First, the 162cm F-cup with Head #422 nails the hot college girl look. Then, we have a freckled beauty: the 166cm C-cup with Head #398. She’s dressed as a kinky motorcyclist but looks more like Wendy’s meets Black Widow. Most likely, you won’t receive this level of makeup with the doll.
Angel Kiss
Angel Kiss shared a photoset of their 159cm body with Head LS#42. An interesting combination that reminds me of Irontech’s silicone dolls (thick but fit).
SE Doll
SE Doll showed a new photoset of their 158cm Yuuka in a dark, yet cutesy theme. She looks fairly cute with an interesting contrast of colors.
Funwest Doll
Funwest Doll shared yet another Elina photoset, which I wasn’t going to show, but they’re too skilled at photography. Their photographer has single-handedly carried them with beautiful, but heavily edited photos.
JY Doll
JY Doll released a new head and body: the 150cm XiaoLan. Her face is somewhat cute and cat-like. Weighing at only 26 kg (57 lbs), this balanced, small-breasted body is pretty rare from JY Doll. Oddly, the vagina looks damaged or used in the photos and video. Someone got too excited before taking photos.
Elsa Babe
Elsa Babe supposedly released a new head called Sakurai Koharu. I say supposedly because this head isn’t new, but they “launched” it like a new head. She has a very old-fashioned, Elsa Babe style, like their heads from 2020, but still looks decent.
They also teased their next upcoming head, which is similar in style, but with a more angry or “bad ass” expression.
FU Doll
FU Doll teased their upcoming Head #24. It has a cute Asian face with big eyes, similar to their usual style.Â
Zelex
Zelex released a 45cm full silicone torso. I believe this is their first sex torso, and it looks pretty realistic and high quality. Cleverly, this expands their selection and market, and looks compatible with a head too.
Climax Doll
Climax Doll released their new CLM Pro line of dolls. These hybrid sex dolls have silicone heads with “oral structure & moveable jaws” on TPE bodies. Currently, there are two CLM Pro dolls available.
The first is the FD157cm Sola, which has a very “sex doll”-like face (when the mouth is opened) with plump lips.Â
Next is the FD159cm Mouna, which I’m a much bigger fan of. This body has massive breasts compared to the FD157cm, but it’s the face that steals the show. I think it’s the first “oral structure & movable jaw” smiling head I’ve seen, and it works so well.
When the mouth is closed, she has a noticeable smile. When it’s opened, her smile radiates more while still looking natural; no need for FaceApp. I’m surprised no other brands came up with this. It’s an unexpectedly nice alternative to the usual moaning or surprised-looking “oral structure” heads.
EX Doll
EXDOLL shared a new photoset of their 166cm Katherine. Without the Mai Shiranui cosplay, she still looks pretty good – very Irontech-like (probably the same photographer). However, I think the body looks unnaturally thick for the face.
SY Doll
Usually, I don’t show SY Doll since they’re a lower-end and knockoff brand. However, they released some celebrity lookalike dolls recently that warranted a separate post. Read more here.
That wraps up another week of sex doll news. In short, it was more of the same: lots of photosets with some new releases and teasers. However, two unexpected brands stole the show this week. Climax Doll and SY Doll – two brands that I rarely cover – surprised me with something new and intriguing. Climax Doll’s smiling “oral structure and moveable jaw” head works so well, even though I’m not a huge fan of their aesthetics. Maybe it’ll inspire more smiling, moveable-jaw heads in the future. Meanwhile, SY Doll’s celebrity heads ventured into unknown and uncharted territories – a risky path that Game Lady took 1 year ago. Things are heating up in the sex doll industry in unexpected ways. What interesting things will come out next?
Thoughts on May’s final week of sex doll news? Comment below!
Funwest can heavily edit their photos all they want, but until they correct the horrible LHP on their dolls they’re never going to be serious contenders IMO.
Hi, Steven. Do you think silicone dolls will be a future trend? More and more manufacturers are starting to invest in silicone doll production.
Hi David,
Silicone dolls have been trending for over a year now. Most big TPE brands like WM, JY, Piper, Irontech, etc pursued it years ago. Only recently did more budget TPE brands like Jarliet and SY get into it. Because silicone has more innovative potential, and since every brand wants to catch up with each other and have more doll choices, silicone is the past, present, and future (until something better comes along). It’s definitely not a new trend.
Not a huge fan of Climax but can’t argue that moving jaw looks great, and I don’t think I have ever seen sex doll boobs bounce quite like in that Mouna video.
Thanks for the post! Great stuff!
Hi Jackson,
No problem. I’m glad you enjoyed the post. 🙂
Opposite the news, there is not enough opportunity to put Like – thumbs up, for the news.
Hi Kar,
My blog is fairly simple. Usually “like” or “thumbs up” reactions are for social media. I don’t think it’s necessary for my blog, but maybe I’ll look into it in the future.
Thanks Steven for another great piece of news. At SY Doll, the model in the photo in the middle looks very real, the one with the C13 head.
I look more and more often there are hybrids of a silicone head and a TPE body. Does the TPE material still feel more natural? Otherwise, why is this happening?
Hi Kar,
Hybrid dolls have been around for years. The TPE is still the brand’s regular blend of TPE. Usually, hybrid dolls are a transitional phase from TPE to silicone. For example, JY, WM, and some other brands (Climax Doll this week) all started out with full TPE, then hybrid (silicone head + TPE body), and finally, full silicone. Recently, some brands like Zelex and Irontech went backwards to show off hybrid combinations.
The original purpose was for TPE brands to test the waters before going full silicone. JY did it for years. But hybrid dolls also have a purpose, which some people see as “a best of both worlds.” A soft and cuddly TPE body with a realistic (but hard) silicone head. Also, it’s more affordable than full silicone.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of hybrid dolls because the silicone head doesn’t quite match the TPE body in appearance. Usually, the skin tone will look slightly different, as well as the shine. However, everyone has different preferences. It’s just more options to choose from.
That Jaw upgrade might help CD keep up with JY
Yeah that jaw and head design looks to be the best so far.
