Firefly Diary: New Sex Doll Brand Brings Anime Schoolgirls to Life

On October 14, 2023, a new Chinese sex doll brand called Firefly Diary (Yinghuoriji) officially launched. With a charming name, Firefly Diary stands out with its interesting story and writing that other brands lack. Essentially, they have a school theme that will appeal to many anime fans out there. Each doll is a character with a backstory in this “school” of theirs. Personally, I think it’s a fun idea that brings life to the brand and their dolls. Their entire website follows the school theme, where people can complete daily and monthly tasks for various gifts and rewards. One of their main goals is to build a community, which is ambitious. Whether you like their dolls or not, it’s a pretty neat idea that adds an immersive atmosphere to their brand.

164cm Liuli

Introducing the first member of Class 2, Liuli. Each character has a personality, and hers is optimistic and hard-working. As their flagship doll, she has a pretty cute face. Aesthetically, it’s a mix between realistic and anime – cute Japanese faces with big eyes.

162cm Amagi

The next member of the class is Amagi. With a serious personality, she’s the class monitor or leader who rarely smiles (but ironically smiles in her sculpt). Personally, I think she looks a bit creepy or mysterious, possibly due to the wig and eye color.

151cm Nanako

Next we have the troublemaker, Nanako, who gets poor grades, likes to eat, and enjoys fishing. She looks a bit similar to Liuli but with slightly larger eyes. The main difference is her shorter and plumper 151cm body (which I’m guessing is pear-shaped).

Update: They released their first nude photos of the 151cm Nanako (see below).

164cm Xifeng

At the back of the classroom is Xifeng, the shy introvert. No class is complete without the quiet student who appears to be “invisible.” Xifeng (might not be translated correctly) likes reading books and playing guitar.

165cm Lian

Last for now, we have Lian. Facially, she reminds me of Irontech’s Suki, and is supposedly Liuli’s older sister. She has the “big sister” personality trait.

Other Students

The promos show another student, the 162cm Shirley, whose photoset haven’t been released yet. She’s a cheerful and outgoing painter. They also teased another upcoming student, who I believe is the 163cm Lian posted above. Oddly, her photos came out before Shirley’s.

More Videos

They shared a few interesting videos that I combined into one. Below, the video shows their gel breasts, body painting makeup, articulated fingers, and hard feet (standing without bolts).

Daily Tasks & Events

In an effort to build an active community and reward customers, Firefly Dairy has a series of daily and monthly tasks, and events for customers to complete. These tasks generally involve sharing photos of your dolls (which I assume they’ll use as promo material). In return, you receive free accessories, outfits, and merchandise for each task completed. Personally, I think this is a cool idea to reward customers and keep them engaged.

Conclusion

Overall, Firefly Diary is an interesting new brand that’s very well-thought-out. The charming school theme, rewarding tasks, and community building will certainly appeal to many people, especially anime fans. They also emphasized their focus on quality (technically every brand says that) and their dislike of dolls not matching promo photos. To achieve this, they have 2 notable partners: Duoduo Makeup Studio who will do every doll’s makeup, and “Yang Wanliang,” a well-known photographer who is one of their advisors. While it sounds good on paper, as always, there are no reviews just yet.

Other than the fun theme and story (with voice acting), the dolls themselves aren’t particularly innovative. They look fairly standard (with Japanese aesthetics), weigh around 36-37.5 kg (79-83 lbs), and look similar to what’s already out there. There are also no nude photos right now. Overall, I like the thought put into this, and although the dolls aren’t too unique, I expect them to do very well in Asia and Japan.

Currently, you can find “Firefly Diary” at the reputable vendors: Kumadoll, Rosemarydoll, and RealDollOnline.

Update: Turns out, Yang Wanliang (Irontech’s main photographer) is the founder and designer of Firefly Diary. The dolls are made in Irontech’s factory, which is why they look so similar.

These look great but it would be cool if they can manage to drop the weight :/

So, what is the link for the new sex doll brand’s website is?

    1. Steven

Their official website is yhdoll.com, but you’ll be able to find more info and order from a vendor.

  3. Bruce

I am starting to see vendors carrying this line. Apparently it is affiliated with Irontech and you can see the connection with the bodies, art aesthetic in the headsculpts and the photographer used for the promo shots. I think this is a really cool idea and hope it catches on. I guess the only issue is getting the word out and building trust with buyers.

      Hi Bruce,
Many people noticed their similarities with Irontech. Although I don’t have the translation, apparently Guo Da from KD revealed that they’re made in the Irontech factory in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiO-NJBtR6E
The owner and designer of Firefly Diary (Yang Wanliang) is/was one of Irontech’s photographers.

This is rare, i’ll comment for a second time, i’ve researched them over and over, i can’t believe there’s a sex doll brand that does not want you to buy their dolls easily, lol.
You don’t speak chinise, you won’t be able to buy one of these until a vendor comes to rescue.

    1. Steven

Actually, there are many brands like this in China. They don’t speak English and only sell in the domestic market (until a global vendor comes along and carries them). One example is LAS (Last Order), who makes cool gaming-inspired dolls, but they only sell domestically. Firefly Diary is still very new so you never know. Their website does have Chinese, English, and Japanese language options so they may have plans to sell globally, but I still wouldn’t recommend ordering from them directly (yet).

This is so useful to know, thank you Steven!

  6. IconOkee

I bet these dolls come with uniforms, shoes, socks and undergarments in the package.

  7. Erick

These are some of the best i’ve seen, yet i can’t find the their web site or posibilities to buy!

    1. Steven

      Hi Erick,
Their official website is yhdoll.com, but I don’t think they have any vendors yet. Japanese vendors, like Kumadoll, will probably add them one day. For now, I suggest waiting since they’re so new.

      1. Erick

Thank you so much. If you have the chance to edit your post, i’d suggest you to add the site link within the post, because (hahaha lol) i had 15 a**holes asking me for the site 20 minutes ago when i did parade the pictures at the bar! (not joke). Thank you so much.

For sure a brand for to follow.

Finally a very enlightening post about this brand🙏. I saw these photos on Twitter this week and started looking like crazy for more information about it. I found this way of engaging the community very interesting. Futhermore, Nanako’s head looks like an older version of Ali’s head from MLW.

Let me know if the videos are ok. I’m trying a new video host. If it loads too slow, I can reduce the quality.

    1. Michael

Hi Steven, videos are loading instantly on my phone. Seems like your settings are right.

I wonder if this brand has ambition to expand to the West. Like you said, the concept sounds interesting. I would be doing the dailies if an English site was available.

The disadvantage of brands like this is that I can never find reviews. I have to find reviews about a brand before spending thousands of dollars on it. For this brand it’s logical there are no reviews yet since it launched this month. But other brands that have been out longer, like Yearndoll, have the same issue.

    2. Jackson

Your videos are all good. I’m not sure if they like this brand though.

    3. Erick

Videos are more than fine, thanks
