April’s first week of jokes and eggs has cracked and gone, as I returned with a basket full of news. This week, SEDOLL released their latest Aya Series, Elsa Babe has a new body, AJL DOLL teased a new head, and many brands unloaded tons of photos. And whoever wanted a Cammy doll is getting closer. Having said that, it was a photoset-heavy week so be prepared for walls of photos. Without further ado, let’s take in the latest sights in the doll world.

SEDOLL

First, SEDOLL officially released their Aya Series, a sub-series of 5 office ladies – which means a lot of photos incoming. The first salarywoman is Miori, a crowd-favorite featured on their latest T153cm A-cup body (with Real Skin Texture).

Next, Hinata also rocks the T153A body. I wasn’t so sure about her from the teasers, but the full set won me over.

Next is Shion, who looks like a boss by day and a K-Pop star by night. I like the inviting pose on the chair.

And the last new head is Sena. Like Hinata, her teaser didn’t really stand out, but I think she looks better without the glasses. Four decent new heads to choose from.

Lastly, their classic Yuuki also snuck her way into the series. She has an infinite number of styles by now, but office lady fits her perfectly too.

Elsa Babe

After many heads, Elsa Babe returned with a brand-new body this time: the 151cm “Contrasting Sweetheart Body.” Proportionally, it looks similar to their other bodies, maintaining the iconic hourglass figure. They described her as having a “slender and delicate” upper body, and “round and plump” lower body – weighing 29 kg (64 lbs) with the head. Suitable for their 148-153cm heads, and I like the perky nipples.

Irontech Doll

Irontech Doll’s 164cm Rita returned in fluffy white that could have been part of their Snow Angel series. She looks super pretty here in Tanned skin.

Real Lady

Also returning is Real Lady’s Hailey, this time as a brunette. I think this is probably her most natural set, where the hair, clothing and setting just blend well together.

Gynoid

Still pushing their AP Series, Elsa (AP02) received her second makeover on the Model 21 Deluxe body. This time, she’s feistier, baring her teeth. However (as I noticed before), these photos basically confirm a connection between Real Lady’s makeup artist and Gynoid’s AP Series, since they look super similar (same photographer too). So while the makeup is glamorous, I can’t help but to feel Gynoid made a big mistake.. Basically, their dolls just look like Real Lady’s now for double the price.

Fanreal

This week, it was Fanreal’s turn to unload endless photosets. First, they paired their recent Yuki (ROS) on the 155F (RST) body, which I think fits very well. A nice girl showing off her naughty side.

They also paired Mirella (ROS) on the 155F body for the first time, though I think the body is a bit small for her. It makes her seem even cuter though.

Zelex

Zelex returned with their latest photoset of the SLE 165D + Head ZXE224. Their first photos since the SLE 3.0 upgrade is also their best photos in a while.

TAYU

Meanwhile, it was Tayu’s turn for walls of photos. Starting with their recent NOVA 158C+ body, Riley returns to highlight it’s curves and holes.

Next, Tayu’s silicone 150C Peach is back in a very Japanese style. A nice outdoor set, with unfortunately no nude photos, but makes sense given the public setting.

And last, Angel returned on their recent silicone 160A body. While I personally prefer her on the NOVA 158C+ body, this gives another look at the 160A.

Climax Doll

Climax Doll released a new 70cm Freya, inspired by Street Fighter’s Cammy. This might be the best Cammy doll thus far, and hopefully, they make a full-sized version too (maybe ULW can manage the weight). Meanwhile, this figure only weighs 5 kg (11 lbs).

Firefly Doll

Next, Firefly Doll’s Little Leeson (Xiao Lisen) returned in probably her best photoset thus far. With only a bath towel, she looks super cute in this simple shoot, fitting perfectly on the 160cm MAX body. Also, they rebranded to Firefly Doll months ago (from Firefly Diary), so I should start calling them the right name.

AJLDOLL

AJLDOLL teased their latest head called Jiayi (or Jiatian). Meant to be on the cuter and more youthful side, she definitely fits the bill. However, I can’t help but to feel like something’s off about her. Maybe the anime hair doesn’t fit her realistic face or something. A different wig or outfit might fix that.

Bezlya

Bezlya shared some new photos of a doll cosplayed as League of Legend’s Seraphine. Not sure which head or body this is.

They also shared artistic, anime-inspired photos with possibly a new head called Freesia (I’m not too familiar with their heads). She looks a bit like Calla, but her elf ears are angled differently. Big fan of the rain theme and fantasy background here.

MD Doll

Speaking of anime, MD Doll released a new head called Kitty on their recent anime-style 151G body. While I liked the previous Camilla, this one doesn’t seem as interesting. She’s like a more realistic version (similar hair and outfit) but ends up looking too plain. If they dress her up as Yuffie from FF7, they might have something here.

XT Doll

Last but not least, some people were interested in XT Doll’s upcoming “body pillow.” However, it isn’t coming out until the end of April, so they’re dragging it out. Still no nude photos or softness videos. Also, I think she’s around 10 kg, but all their promos emphasize 7 kg as her weight. I guess we’ll wait and see.

Conclusion

That wraps up the first week of April, a photoset-heavy week as brands buy time before their next releases. Not much highlights as I think it’ll be different for everyone. Technically, the two Game Lady heads also came out this week, so it wasn’t as barren as it seems. What stood out to me the most was how much Gynoid’s AP Series looks like Real Lady now. They most likely have the same makeup artist, which I think will hurt Gynoid in the long-term. They just look too similar at almost double the price – and their next photoset will also have that “Real Lady look” to it.

Meanwhile, the next in Doll Senior’s Zodiac series (Capricorn) is supposed to come out right after this post, so something to look forward to next week. Otherwise, there were lots of photosets and a few new things. I think Climax Doll has a huge opportunity to even surpass Game Lady if they play their cards right. They’re huge into fantasy dolls and I hope they can shift toward things people actually want (unlike Dolls Castle). I guess only time will tell.
