More than halfway into September, the sex doll industry marches on. Thankfully, this week was a bit more eventful than last week. WM Doll released some “innovative” new features, many brands unveiled new heads, and an old-school brand embraced AI photos – leading to a small discussion. Without further ado, let’s see if September can redeem itself this time around.
5 months since it was teased, WM Doll finally released their “No Poker Face” feature. This allows the eyes to be opened and closed, and I think this is the only head with the feature at the moment. Also unlike the original teaser, the eyes look like they can fully close now.
They also released a new electronic feature called “Shake Shake.” This allows the chest and butt to vibrate, which seems somewhat gimmicky and unrealistic (something that no one asked for). Maybe you can massage your neck on it..
SE Doll released a new silicone head called Xena on their T165cm body (with Real Skin Texture). I think she looks quite attractive with this wig, if not a bit generic.
They also shared new photos of their TPE 153cm Yuuki whose big eyes resemble a comic or fairytale style. It reminds me of early Irontech photos.
Piper Doll released new photosets of their S-TPE 160cm Scarlett (taken by Mishka). Here, she looks much fancier than Mizuwali’s original photos, but as mentioned before, she has custom makeup. I think she looks pretty cute, and much different from the original Piper Dolls.
Jiusheng showcased their 152E Yume, now with ROS mouth. Despite the dull colors, she looks fairly cute with freckles in this Japanese setting.
Meanwhile, MLW released a new head called Nanami (ROS) on their 148B body. Dressed as schoolgirl, she looks fairly cute although I think the ROS mouth (as usual) makes her look a bit weird.
Irontech Doll
Irontech shared a video comparing Irontech Doll’s “Realistic Body Painting” vs Real Lady’s “Realistic Skin Texture.” Although the video’s a bit blurry, you can see a noticeable difference in details.
Galatea Doll shared more photos of Head JS062, which seems to be their favorite head. She makes for a sexy cowgirl.
Along with “Shake Shake” from Jinsan/WM, they also released an electronic feature called “Rock & Roll Tongue,” which is a vibrating tongue (first seen from Top Fire Doll a few months ago). Like “Shake Shake,” it seems kind of gimmicky, but some people might want it. I wonder if it obstructs the oral cavity in any way.
Jinsan Doll
Speaking of Jinsan, they converted their pear-shaped TPE 140cm body to silicone. While I’m not a huge fan of their PVC anime heads, the 21 kg (46 lbs) weight isn’t bad. This body looks better with a normal-sized head though.
Climax Doll
Climax Doll released a new head called Lottie. Dressed as a teacher, I think she actually looks pretty cute, which is rare to say about a Climax Doll.
Yearndoll released 2 more Western heads called Y601 and Y602. Two different styles, and both look quite pretty in my opinion.
They also released a new Asian head called Y229 on the 170cm body. Although a bit generic, she looks more realistic than most of their previous heads.
FUDOLL showcased their first-ever Realistic Skin Texture body (160B with Sally head), but these aren’t actually promo photos. Apparently, their first attempt had many defects (such as bad seamlines), so they’re selling them as-is (but they didn’t show the defects..).
Bezlya
Bezlya’s photographer (狗日的戯画酱) shared new photos of their 157cm Calla. The cute elf returns in these super sexy, wet and flexible photos.
XT Doll
XT Doll released a new head called Bubbles on their 150cm body. With a generically cute face, she’ll probably sell well in Asia.
Starpery
Starpery’s famous 161cm BBW body is the next to receive Weight Reduction 4.0. From 52.5 kg (116 lbs) to 39.5 kg (87 lbs), they emphasized the “lightness” with a video of a woman carrying the body up a flight of stairs. But still, 87 lbs shouldn’t be underestimated.
Starry Doll
I haven’t shown Starry Doll since they first launched over a year ago, but they released many new heads since then. (They’re kind of like Dolls Castle with lots of weird stuff, but some normal dolls too) Since built-in horns are rare, their latest one is worth showing. I think she’s supposed to be an imp or devil.
AI Discussion
Since there wasn’t much news again and AI promo photos continue to trend, let’s have another quick AI discussion.
6YE
6YE is the latest brand to use AI promo photos. They’ve been around for a long time, but maybe due to lack of sales or to “switch things up,” they released their first AI photos this week. Normally, there are 2 types of AI promo photos: completely generated (from a reference photo) or a heavy filter over actual photos.
In these photos, they appear to be entirely generated, looking more like paintings than something real. I’m guessing some brands do this to save money (without having to hire a photographer). While most doll owners are aware of this, it tends to prey more on newcomers.
Promo photos vs Factory Photos
In fairness, Head 97 does resemble the factory photos (minus the AI’s skin texture), and isn’t as extreme as the other examples. However, Head 133 looks much different. I don’t have factory photos of the other 2, but the promo photos are like cartoon versions of what they actually look like.
SY Doll
Also, SY Doll released a new head with AI photos (similar to their more extreme ones). Based on the background, posing, clothing, etc, you can tell that these were completely generated to look like the Spider lady from Black Myth: Wukong. She looks noticeably different in the factory photos, especially the hair and body.
Aibei
One last example is Aibei whose been hammering out AI photos for the past 1-2 months. The long-time TPE brand released silicone dolls a while back, but I never covered it because that’s when their AI began.
Below is a popular, recent doll. Like above, these photos were likely generated (based on inconsistencies in the clothing), but the factory photos look a little similar at least. However, the body is quite different (big neck and less proportionate). Just a reminder to always look at factory photos. In many AI promo photos, the fingernails look different.
Conclusion
That wraps up a fairly short week of news that I fluffed up with some AI discussion. Lots of new heads as usual, with new innovations from Jinsan like “Shake Shake” and “Rock & Roll Tongue.” Sometimes they hit the mark with things like articulated fingers, “No Poker Face,” and ROS, but they also have their fair share of random stuff that no one asked for. At least their breathing system was somewhat realistic, but the vibrating chest and butt are just odd.. Anyway, many brands continued working on weight reduction and Realistic Skin Texture, while other brands played around with AI. Let’s see if September can finish strong next week.
Thoughts on September’s 3rd week of sex doll news? Comment below!
Yes indeed confusing, it would be funny if
bought the doll but turns out to be taller haha.
But from the photos, the breast look slightly smaller than the 2.1/2.2 161.
Hopefully they have improved the LHP.
The bezlya calla seems to be the new 157cm CF body, not the 155.
The body seems to be a 1 to 1 replica of a real person.
Thanks for letting me know. I assumed it was the 155 since the last 2 Calla photosets used that body. I also heard some conflicting info that this is the CF 161, which is confusing.. Bezlya seems to call it both but 157cm might be the official name.
I do wish they’d stop developing nonsense features and improve on ones we actually want, my Irontech’s sucking function was a great start for me at least but they seem to go out of their way to make ridiculous ones aside from this. Like who asked for hips that shake side to side rather than up and down, madness!
Wow really, bezlya? Qos tattoos on your doll? I guess those people consume that kind of hentai content. I hope more dolls have closeable eyes. I’m glad piper made something normal looking and that fu doll doesn’t look too bad. 6ye should try designing semi realistic anime heads like characters from jjk instead of using ai.
Wah that WM doll looks really cool. Especially with that classic head now being able to close eyes.
But what about the mouth?
Dude I just got my A.I. head from realdoll through my wife who sponsored me. Finally got my hands on one.
In the meantime I am opening her up and trying to see how I can tune things. Really cool stuff.
I wonder what else is coming up…
How is the AI Head?
If you want you can check her out on my youtube channel. Rebel Drifter.
I like it a lot but its being held down by the apps. As soon as that’s updated in 2025 she’ll be super dope.
I’d say it’s fairly expected that the low cost brands that pump out dolls every week will turn to AI more and more, their photos are already very misleading most of the time, AI is just gonna make it cheaper for them.
That sounds about right. A lot of cheap dolls on marketplace sites like Amazon, Ebay, and Temu use AI photos now..
I don’t know why Starpery used Gabriel Dropout for their video
Real Lady’s texture is a bit much, human body has more texture visually but compared to silicone it will be soft to the touch. They prioritized visual marketing over the feel. But idk for sure haven’t tried it.
I’d wish to see Bezlya’s not normal photos, but the she looks unique. It’s sure aoi by any chance?
Thanks for the article.
Sorry, I didn’t understand what you asked about Bezlya. Was there was a typo?
Yeah, there’re typos thanks to fast typing. I wanted to see less flashy and edited photos of the doll, she looks unique.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Steven. Especially with the discussion of AI being used in the promo photos. I like what WM Doll is doing with the “No Poker Face” feature and hope that more brands can adopt this and continue to push it forward. Been wanting to have more varied facial expressions and it’s finally here.
No problem. Openable and closable eyes are definitely a start. The next step is rotatable eyebrows and mouth like USDOLL (Earth Doll) has to really change their expressions.
Now that WM Doll officially released it, maybe it will pick up traction from other brands. Usually, there’s a separate company that makes and supplies these features to various brands. Or maybe WM’s is in-house.
Thanks for the follow up and insight in how these features get shared across the industry. You’re right in the next steps to take. I’m still blown away and glad you posted on the USDOLL (Earth Doll) brand and what they have been cooking.
Galatea rock and roll tongue was legit
Thanks for the post!
No problem. I had a feeling that you’d like that, but I’m guessing not the “Shake Shake” feature.
Yeah shake shake isn’t good in my opinion.
