Two years since their last body release, Game Lady finally returned with a brand-new 170cm body & Head No. 32 – inspired by the video game heroine, Bayonetta. Ranked #5 in their character contest from 2023, the flamboyant Umbra Witch finally arrives. Despite some mixed reactions, I think she does resemble the character, and they also went all-out with a custom body for her – to fit her unique lankiness. And I think they pulled it off. It’s also the first time I’ve seen a fully “on-the-ground” photoset (that creates an illusion like she’s standing) – that was certainly unique. While this doll certainly won’t be for everyone, I think Bayonetta fans will be pleased with it.

Conclusion

After years of fans asking for a new body, Game Lady finally delivered. But is it everything that you hoped for? At first, I thought the photos were a bit simple and lacking (mainly the plain background). But after more thought, the stylized ground posing is actually quite creative. Also, this body was definitely risky for them since I don’t think any other character can fit it (aesthetically). However, these “one-off” bodies seem to be in Game Lady’s future. Several months ago, 2 new bodies for Bayonetta and Chun Li were rumored. Now that Bayonetta’s confirmed, a custom Chun Li-inspired doll could be next.
