What started as a lively year full of innovations, ended on a quiet but jolly note. Things cooled down again as sex doll brands welcomed in the holidays – after a year of endless work. This week, Zelex continued improving their dolls, XT Doll launched a new series, and other brands mostly celebrated Christmas. Sad to say, it was mostly new photosets this week, so not much new releases, but the show must go on. Let us wrap up Christmas with some final festive photos and end the year on a positive note.
Elsa Babe
First, Elsa Babe released a new head called Yumeno Ayano. With CNY coming up, she’s fittingly cheerful and festive. I also noticed that their eyebrows have gotten more unique lately (two black circles here).
Additionally, I realized that their recent Kaneda Shio head is inspired by Wuthering Wave’s Mornye. That explains the white eyelashes, and gaming dolls are always welcomed here.

Zelex
Following their SLE 3.0 launch last week, Zelex moved to upgrade every series (Inspiration, SLE, & Fusion) with their latest weight-reduction, softer orifices, and improved durability. The Inspiration series 165F, 170C, and 175E bodies are to first to be upgraded.
Last week, they also released a new Inspiration Series Head GE149/GE74MJ (ROS version of Head GE74) on a newish 170D body that I missed before. To be fair, Zelex photos look really similar, so I glanced right past it. This is another realistic body with noticeably wider hips than the bodies above.
Sino Doll
Sino Doll shared 2 Christmas group photos featuring several recent heads and bodies. Not sure if this first one can even be considered “Christmas” themed, since they’re just wearing red and white plaid clothing.
The next one is more Christmas-themed, and as with above, I cut out a lot of photos since they’re a bit simple without any nude shots.
Top-Cydoll
Top-Cydoll returned with a new head called Sato Asuka. Japanese-inspired, she’s another cute Asian head for them, with spicier photos than Sino Doll above.
Also feeling festive, Polly returned on the 172A body this time in spectacularly jolly photos. This may be the best Polly has ever looked, and the 172A continues glowing up Top-Cydoll’s entire lineup.
MMX Doll
MMX Doll teased some Christmas photos (even though Christmas has long passed). It features their recent Mengsha and an upcoming head called Mengran. Another pretty Western head to look forward to.
XT Doll
XT Doll launched a new “Fantasy Girlfriend Series,” debuting with the 165cm Ami (Fantasy #2 – brands never seem to start with #1..). While a new series didn’t seem entirely necessary, it’ll feature new head sculpts with “Fantasy Makeup.” I think she looks pretty good, like an Asian Aerith.

Evas Doll
On New Year’s Day, Evas Doll will release a new Super Light 165cm body with YiXinYue head. While the head doesn’t look particularly realistic, the vagina – on the other hand – is their latest “True-to-life Vagina Replica Design.” Combined with a reasonable weight of 31 kg (68 lbs), this seems like a decent step forward for them.

Doll Senior shared more Christmas photos featuring various heads (from a contest that turned into promo photos) – with an emphasis on Dream. Lots of nice photos here, though the entries were mostly from the same photographer.
Tayu
Last week, Tayu shared new photos of their 163D Peach (Real Skin Texture + ROS). In an edgy anime/punk style, this is the most unique the modest Peach has ever looked. KD-Doll’s photography also adds a unique Asian flair contrasting from crazedcat’s usual style. Definitely gives Tayu a different feel.
Funwest Doll
Meanwhile, Funwest Doll shared new photos of their 157G Giselle in arguably her best photoset. Ditching the anime cosplays, this natural brunette style fits her well, with an emphasis on her round assets.
Shedoll
Shedoll released a 3.0 version of their popular Jiang Xiaowan (Jasmine), which includes ROS and openable-and-closeable eyes. She looks pretty cute, and I wonder if this will be a standard for all their heads one day.
Yue Doll
Yue Doll teased their upcoming 150cm AIO Tiantian. Unlike their recent 155cm AIO body, this one’s more petite with smaller breasts at only 23 kg (50 lbs). Only teasers so far but the weight is definitely appealing.

They also shared more photos of their AIO 155cm Tongtong (or Tori). As the taller, bustier, and thicker of the two, she has a more womanly figure, but is somehow twice as heavy at 43 kg (95 lbs). One vendor shows 38 kg (84 lbs) maybe with weight reduction.

Jarliet released a new head called May, which people will probably find uncanny. Not really sure how to describe her; she has a sort of nerdy Barbie look to me.

Firefly Diary shared new photos of their 165Max Linglong. Christmas is over and now replaced with bondage. Interesting photos to say the least.
Bezlya
Keeping the Christmas train rolling, Addictive Tiger shared some Christmas photos of “Zucki x Bezlya’s Ai Uehara replica doll.” He seems to be one of the few people with this doll so nice to see more of her, though no butt photos this time.
Strawberry Garden
Strawberry Garden released a new head called Gong Rin on their silicone 159cm body. I’m still not sure if they even launched yet, but I like the cameltoe shots.

CY Doll shared some new photos, including Christmas photos of their Tifa (Talia) – though the first photo seems really edited. Also, some nice photos of their 168F Yueyue. Kind of interesting to see what they promote in Asia vs the West.
BF Doll (Last but not least)
After Iro’s comeback last week, BF has a new head and body of their own. They released a new 150L body (both in S-TPE and silicone) and two new anime heads (don’t know their names since they usually just number them). Compared to Iro’s last week, I think I like this style more, though the 2 heads are just slight variations of each other. The white hair and blue eyes pair well though.

Lastly, just to throw in, Irontech Doll and Real Lady’s Snow Angel series are apparently no longer website-exclusive. Many vendors began adding them, so the experimental exclusivity didn’t last very long.
Conclusion
That wraps up not only Christmas, but the year of 2025 as well. Despite ending a bit silently, 2025 was an impressive year of non-stop innovations from Openable-and-Closeable Eyes and Real Skin Texture to Adjustable Joint Skeletons and Electronic Eyes. There were also many robotic heads in the mix, but I don’t think much of them actually came out. For sure, 2026 will probably have more emphasis on robotics and AI. Otherwise, there were tons more variety including new brands in 2025, as well as many upgrades and improvements which are just as important. Replica dolls were also huge in 2025. And of course, it ended on a bit of a sour note for some people regarding bans, and also most videos on my blog randomly died this week.. That’s an annoying way to end the year.. (will try hosting them on Redgifs now)

Yeah, I think the new Fantasy Girlfriend series are all Asian heads. Reminds me a bit of Irontech’s Oriental or Wonder Dolly series. Definitely interesting to see them push this new series in the West. They had a big social media contest/campaign with it recently.

The new XT doll claims to use a new soft silicone, I wonder if this is based on their work with the super hydrating silicone leg model?
The open and closeable eyes on Shedoll Jasmine add so much to the doll’s appeal. It almost seems like if done well it could make closed eye head sculpts redundant. Depends on if they can enable the cheeks to relax a bit too so it doesn’t always look like she’s squinting.
Butterfly’s new face sculpts are much better than IB’s latest, but still plain in comparison to EB. At this point the gap kinda feels like Tayu vs everyone else w.r.t. LHP, lol.
Tori from Yue is gorgeous especially as AIO, but her weight puts her firmly out of reach. I wonder if one day weight reduction will be good enough to support super thick busty bodies like that? Either way, I’m pretty convinced that AIO dolls are the future. The first two pictures of her are so natural looking and simply impossible to take with a separate head.
The new pictures of the DollSenior 165F are some of the best pictures we’ve gotten of that body so far. Frustratingly, DS doesn’t seem to offer factory photos of that model AFAIK.
Speaking of frustration, I am in the market for a new full sized doll and holy crap it is infuriating how hard it is to see pictures of dolls in different sex positions.
Someone in the industry with clout needs to create some sort of standardized matrix/guideline of pictures that all brands should provide for every release. Like sex positions (e.g., view of doggy from top down, view of missionary legs up), max tolerances (e.g., view of LHs with legs wide), penetration with dildo, factory photos sitting, standing, prone, turnarounds, etc.
Some brands are pretty good about this (Tayu), but most aren’t and the details are almost never provided with the doll’s initial press release.
For such an expensive, inflexible purchase in an industry where it feels like the product is outdated in 1-2~ years (at the current rate), it is wild that we have to get by with such meager information. It boggles my mind that brands drop awesome cutting edge dolls but provide only minimal detail about how well the doll appears to fulfill its intended use…

If you go on 22doll you’ll find a lot of pictures for the DS 165F. Other places include Rakuendoll.jp’s discord server, DS’ own discord server and arca.live also have plenty of images (harder to search but try “돌시 165”).

First site is definitely the best place to find customer photos for more Asian-oriented brands; I get a lot of my news from there.
Arcalive used to have a doll section called realdoll, but I think it got banned or something. Was cool to see Korean doll community talk (and it’s where I found the Earth Doll (USDOLL) info a while back). I don’t know what happened to it though, maybe I just can’t access it.

I sort of realized at some point that 22doll is the place to be (around the time I really fell in love with Qiandao and wanted to see more pictures of her) for brands that are Chinese-market focused / have little to no Western presence. But I can’t seem to see most of the good pictures without making an account (?). Not sure how much of a PITA that will be.
Anyhow, I’m not entirely sure I’d want to go for a DS doll at this point anyhow, – I mainly just wanted to vent my frustrations about lack of standardization here. There’s a lot more that brands could do to bridge the gap between markets if they really wanted to.
Hmm, where did you see that? To my knowledge, only their torso legs have the Super Hydrating Silicone. I also need to catch up on them because I forgot what the “Risk Version” means. 😆
I’m kind of surprised that openable-and-closeable eyes didn’t catch on nearly as much as ROS. Many brands tried it and then just stopped. Only a few brands like Shedoll seem to be continuing it. I think some people find it annoying to have to have to pose both eyes to look the same.
I think weight reduction will improve every year, but they can’t just magically make silicone/TPE lighter haha. But looking at Tayu’s weights (https://www.tayu-doll.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/TAYU-Doll-Body-Measurements-2025-Silicone-Series.webp), there’s definitely room to go lower for most brands. I expect it to keep improving to a certain point at least.
As for the last point, yeah, unfortunately it has always been like that. The goal for photographers is to make the doll look as realistic and aesthetic as possible. They won’t show the neck seam or anything that makes the doll look bad (that many customers would want to see). Tends to get a bit deceptive and misleading due to this. At least, some brands are getting better. The standing front, side, and back shots are becoming more standard (was rare years ago), and more brands have clear love hole photos now. Some improvements, but yeah, sadly they still prioritize aesthetics over functionality and showing everything clearly.
If you look at the stats card for the new XT “fantasy girlfriend 2” listing on their website, it mentions they’re using a “new” soft silicone for her. No idea if it’s actually new. As per usual they don’t provide many details. She looks great, but I wouldn’t want to drop $3k on her without knowing how much of a durability risk that new blend is going to be (along with the usual lack of functional photos – especially bad for XT as they have a history of poor LHP).
On weight reduction: I think 50-60LBs seems to be the upper limit for most functionally-minded doll owners. The question then, is just how much Jello manufacturers can sneak on the frame in just the right places. But yeah, I’d never expect them to be able to get a busty full-sized girl down to < 60LBs. From 70 to 60? My hope is that that's doable, somehow (the TAYU weight chart you linked shows they're clearly finding ways and hope to reach that holy grail first).
As for the ongoing war about getting brands to be more transparent…
I'm all for sexy photoshoots – that's how you sell the doll. No argumentation there from me. Plus they're an absolute joy to look at. But as you say, it does feel like most manufacturers are slow to warm up to the reality that they're selling _sex_ dolls (or rather, that aesthetics alone won't sell their dolls)…and as ItsAme inadvertently revealed, another issue is that most of them continue to have really poor reach into Western markets (e.g., just get a VPN and go on 22doll). Some of that's a "them" problem, but a lot of the time it just means tough luck for Westerners…they're not serving the Western market because they don't have to.
In the meantime I guess it falls on vendors to bridge the gap – which feels kinda abusive, lol. A standardized set of pictures in neutral lighting doesn't seem that hard for a manufacturer to take.
That TAYU chart you linked was included as part of their 2025 retrospective and kinda touched on some of their plans for 2026. I thought that writeup was excellent, and it really made me excited about the future of their brand. They're clearly putting some amount of effort into bridging the gap to their Western audience. Not coincidentally, I also find that they put some of the most effort by far into providing turnarounds and pictures of their dolls in functional positions.
They get their target audience, and seem like the clear market leader as far as transparent advertisement goes, but the problem is that other brands probably haven't felt pressure to compete because of how damn expensive TAYU's silicone dolls are. They also care more about functionality over aesthetics (they're just now starting to get in on real-skin texture with their 163D), which as you mentioned makes it a bit harder to snag customer attention.
Along with TAYU, I'm also finding that ClimaxDoll puts in some extra effort to provide additional details about their dolls. They provide factory photos for their new dolls out-of-the-box, for example. They even go so far as to post the factory photos for every doll made on their discord. I'm interested in buying their new cowgirl-themed 156cm Rhea and they've been very cooperative with sending me more pictures – it's just a shame I have to ask. For example, Rhea's photoshoot only has 2~ shots of her backside. Like 2/3rds of her weight is in her lower half – she appears to be a super bottom-heavy doll. Not having more shots of her rear is a big red flag to me.
Worst case scenario: I feel like we've gotta be approaching the upper limit for aesthetics in the next 5 years or so…which should give brands no choice but to focus more on functionality. Or at least, that's what I tell myself… The probable reality is that the market will shift gradually from aesthetics to function as it continues to grow and dolls get more popular. Which they definitely are. Just means more waiting…
