Note: I am not very knowledgeable on how they reduced the weights of their dolls. The body shapes were re-designed, and supposedly they used a gel core in the body to reduce the weight. Instead of the doll being completely made of TPE, there is supposedly gel inside the body in place of some the TPE. The stoppage of this option may indicate that there may have been some issues, and they are currently resolving it.

Update: According to Sam from JY Doll, they temporarily stopped the weight reduction option not to re-design the bodies, but to take photography of the weight-reduced bodies so it wouldn’t mislead customers. The weight-reduced bodies have a different body shape from the original, so in an effort to represent their products accurately, they stopped the weight reduction option to take new photos.

Update 2: JY Doll resumed the sales of weight-reduced models. According to JY, they have redesigned the bodies so that the weight-reduced bodies match the original ones. Their tweet sounds like they redesigned the bodies rather than take new photos as previously mentioned.
