Ask Me Anything!

Previously a sex doll vendor, I’ve been blogging and writing about dolls for over 6 years now (since 2019). During this time, I learned a lot about dolls with a focus on vendors, brands, and manufacturers – giving me the knowledge to identify dolls and brands easily, vetting vendors, and following the latest in doll news.

However, life took over, so nowadays, all my free time goes into my weekly news posts (which includes scouring the web for new releases and a lot of busy work). Therefore, I’m super behind on important things like brand quality and reviews. Since the doll industry moves quickly (and with brands constantly changing their blends and quality control), my info gets outdated and I haven’t been able to stay on top of everything. Ultimately, my niche is doll news now (new releases rather than reviews). Just a heads up because I may disappoint people through emails who ask me things like, “which brand has the best quality?” or “is x brand good quality?” I don’t want to mislead or misinform anyone so I can’t answer these questions until I can catch up on reviews again. My best advice is to research reviews and info on social media first, like The Doll Forum, Reddit, Discord, or X from real customers, or ask a vendor (many people ask me questions that they should be asking vendors). But I’m still willing to take a shot at any questions you might have.

Feel free to comment below and ask me anything, though I can’t guarantee I can answer it.

If your question is more personal or confidential, you can email me at steven@celesdolls.com.

Ho, I am looking for a store that isn’t a scam with high quality products but don’t know where to start.

  2. Brian

was thinking of ordering a doll with a tpe head and a silicone body. how about a tpe head from se doll ,jy doll and wm doll maybe a head from Real Doll on a silicone sex doll bodies from se sex dolls

    1. Steven

TPE head on a silicone body is a bit unusual (hybrid dolls are usually silicone head + TPE body), but I guess it’s possible. You just have to be careful not to let the head and body touch. I suggest asking SE Doll about it if you’re getting both a head and body from them (same brand is typically better for matching skin tones and head-neck proportions).

Can you give me your opinion on FunWest dolls? I saw that you have a whole list of dolls makers and couldn’t find FunWest. Could you give me the pros and cons?

    1. Steven

Hi. I recommend reading the reviews here: https://dollforum.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=637
My opinion means nothing since I’ve never owned one, but luckily, there are lots of reviews from Funwest doll owners there. Hope that helps. 🙂

    Hi Steven,

Do you have any idea what’s going on with dollfactoryphotos.com? They were the alternative website to the Doll Channel that had a few brands the main site didn’t carry. Every time I try to access the site now I get a “host error” message. Ongoing tech problems or did something go down legally with the site owner?

    1. Steven

Not sure. I haven’t followed them but I know they still livestream on YouTube regularly (The Sex Doll Channel) so maybe they mentioned it there. There’s also something happening in the industry recently where most brands will stop producing dolls under 140cm. Yesterday, MIw announced they will no longer produce dolls under 148cm.

      Hi Hugo,
Aibei is a cheaper brand, which is good enough for some people. Personally though, I wouldn’t want to pay that much for one; I think they’re overpriced from many vendors. Out of those 3 websites, I trust betterlovedoll. However, that specific doll has AI-modified photos that are misleading and deceptive. Aibei does that a lot. I would look for or ask for factory photos of the doll first. Also depending on where you live, in-stock ones are usually much cheaper. Like I said, I’d hesitate to spend over $1000 on an Aibei, but that’s up to you. Also, don’t trust those AI photos..

      1. Hugo

        Hello,
How you can tell the photo´s doll are AI Photos? I already knew that the photos´s doll aren´t real, but I thought that the photos are altered by Photoshop. I wanted to know how to avoid falling into those traps again.
Where I can find factory photos? because I sent contact via mail to the three sites and none of them answered me.
One more thing, I wish to know if is true that the moaning system and auto vagina sucking fail after little time of use of doll and if the body heating not only fails, but also doesn´t heat the vagina?
Basically, I have found many contradictory information, I really need help. So if you could help me, I really apreciate.

        1. Steven

It’s something you’ll notice if you look at AI-generated photos a lot. Basically, it doesn’t look real and looks more like art. Sometimes, you can find factory photos online, but usually the vendor will provide them. I managed to find 1 factory photo of that doll here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0051/8927/1586/files/WechatIMG1684.jpg Kind of similar but definitely not as “pretty” as the promo photos.

Personally, I avoid doll electronics. They can fail, adds weight to the doll, more expensive, and pretty lackluster. The body heating usually doesn’t heat the vagina.

          1. Hugo

You are right, I just see the photo and is really not so pretty how it looks in website but is similar.
How do you find the photo so I know when to do with other dolls that I like?
Can you also tell me what I need to know before buy a sex doll? Because the only information I can find, is information that the websites that sell the dolls themselves provide, and much of this information is contradictory, for example, one website says to choose hollow breasts so they don’t get damaged so quickly, while another says to choose gel breasts, which are more durable.

So I need help with this kind of thing.

            1. Steven

I googled “aibei doll AB8 factory photos” to find that photo. AB8 is the head number, but you can also include the body. Unfortunately, I don’t know a good up-to-date guide that explains everything. Some guides are outdated, and most were written like 5 years ago (which are still partially correct). You can try finding information on dollforum (or other social media like Reddit or Discord), which tend to be more reliable from actual doll owners. That info on hollow and gel breasts isn’t really correct. I think a comment here describes it fairly well: https://www.reddit.com/r/SexDolls/comments/1ojpjo7/which_is_a_better_longterm_option_gel_hollow_or/

              1. Hugo

Thanks. Still, is hard to find aibei doll AB8 factory photos, I searched for 5 to 6 sites and only 2 have the factory photos of this doll.
And information about sex dolls in dollforum, reddit and discord are safe?
Can you introduce me to some os servers of discord and reddit?

Hey Steven, maybe I missed it on of your previous weekly updates but have you looked into Agaru/AJLDoll? (Site: https://www.ajialu.love/)

From what I gather, they’re have some sort of relation to MMX. They have three bodies, including a 168 that’s perfect but I wouldn’t know how to go about acquiring one.

    1. Steven

I think they’re related to MMX but I haven’t covered them yet since I think they’re only available in China. I’ll definitely cover them once they launch globally though. Until then, I don’t think there’s any way to order one (outside of China).
